… says we have no such report

The Anambra State Police command has denied that there was no report from any man who was said to have been assaulted by Anambra State Special Anti-touting Squad (SASA).

The command Public Relations Officer, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, stated this while speaking with newsmen on Tuesday in Onitsha.

According to him, i don’t have any information on it, i don’t know the man on the video, and there is no report like that before us.

“I also saw the video trending, but we’re trying to reach out to the man in question, but I don’t have any information on it, it is a recent development”, he said.

A horrible video has surfaced on the social media, showing suspected anti-touting officials maltreating man in Anambra.

It was also observed that the suspects were seen in the video maltreating their victims with a short pestle on his both legs.

Contacted for comments, Mr Nweke Nweke, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) Anambra Vigilant Group (AVG), holding brief for SASA, said that he would issue an official statement of that regard in due course.
