NULGE Declares National Day Of Fasting, Prayer Ahead Of Supreme Court Judgement On Local Government Autonomy

As the supreme court of justice sets to deliver judgement on Local Government Autonomy, tomorrow Thursday,11th July 2024. The leadership of National Union Of Local Government Employees, (Nulge) led by Comrade Ambali Hakeem Olatunji has declared tomorrow Thursday 11th July 2024 as national day of fasting and prayer for all local government workers in the country.

In a statement signed by the President General today, he called on all NEC members of Nulge, christian, muslims as well as all local workers to ensure adequate compliance and publications at the various platforms of Nulge, adding that the fasting and prayers is geared towards victory from the anticipated supreme court judgement tomorrow.

While expressing optimism, he noted that local government Autonomy is an idea whose time is now and that it is long overdue.

He added that it will help to ensure good governance, security, safety and development of the various local government in our country.
