The former Deputy Speaker/Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly (EDHA) and the Obarisiagbon of Ubiaja Kingdom, Rt. Hon. Chief Festus Odianosen Ebea has disclosed that he is willing and ready to represent the good people of Edo Central Senatorial District as he anticipates vying for the senatorial seat under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket.
Ebea, a prominent figure of APC in Edo State politics, has gained momentum in recent weeks as more APC members rally behind his potential candidacy as one of his supporters said, “Many supporters believe that Rt. Hon. Chief Festus Odianose Ebea’s experience in state governance, having served as Edo EDHA Deputy Speaker/ Speaker positions him as a strong contender for the APC Edo Central party’s nomination.
During his years at the Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chief Festus Odianosen Ebea was able to empower youths from his constituency hence he was nicknamed “Mr. Project and Loyalty”.

Hon Chief Festus Ebea during his wonderful service in Edo State House of Assembly included Renovation of General hospital, Ubiaja, Re-Built the high court in Ubiaja, Built the skill acquisition centre in Ubiaja, Constructed the speed breakers on Uromi/Ubiaja road, Built a block of 6 class rooms at Niger bank primary school Illushi, Built a block of 3 classrooms at Idumogo primary school Ewohimi, Graded Idumobo/ Uzebu earth road at Ewohimi, Built a block of 3 classrooms at Uokhuen primary school Ohordua, Graded Ubiaja/ Ugboha road from St John Bosco’s to Idumosodin, Ensured Ubiaja/ Ugboha got into Edo state budget from 2011-2015 and Ensured Ubiaja/ Udo road got into Edo state budget from 2012-2015.
Others are, a block of 6 classrooms, Staff and Principal’s offices at Obiaza mixed secondary school Ubiaja, Influenced the renovations and buildings at Orhuen primary school Ubiaja, Facilitated the safety of Illushi residents in the flood disasters at Illushi in 2013. Donated roofing sheets, foods and medicines to them as well, Influenced the employment of over one hundred Ubiaja sons/daughters as well as others across the Esan South east LGA into both the local government service and state civil service commissions, Facilitated the employment of some constituents into the AAU as both academic and non-academic staff, Assisted in the enrolment of indigent constituents in for WAEC and NECO, Empowered some market women in the constituency with non-refundable grants to assist in their businesses, Influenced the reconstruction of blocks of buildings at Emu Grammar School, Assisted some local farmers at Olloshi during the farming season, Intervened in communal and internecine conflicts in Illushi and Ubiaja, Made cash donations to Ubiaja Prisons, Donated Generator to Ubiaja Police station, Influenced into the Edo state budget the Inyangu water works at Ewohimi 2012-2015, Facilitated the bringing into the budget of Edo state Emuhi to Ehor internal access road 2012-2015 and Facilitated AAU needs into the Edo state budget throughout his time – 2011-2015.
