Senate Holds Valedictory Session For Gov. Okpebholo

A Valedictory session was held in honour of the Edo state governor, Sen. Monday Okpebholo on Wednesday 11,2024.
The session was to honour him on his momentous service in the Senate. it was presided by the president of the Senate ,Godswill Akpabio and other lawmakers where present.
Eulogising him Deputy Senate Presdient ,Senator Barau Jibrin described him to be humble, a man of few words but full of action stating that his election by the Edo people was based of his nature as a person that has the interest of others.
He further stated that Governor Okpebholo did the right thing in the Senate and is doing same in the state as well.He adviced him to remain focused without distractions.
Senator Adam’s Oshiomhole also mentioned that the Governor has made a mark in the past one year as senator as well as Governor. He stated that he was the first to be elected as Senator by people of his senatorial districts which also translated to massive support to be elected. He also added that he is a humble man who’s humility is infectious. His intelligent,active,and committed he retorted.
Senator Danjuma Goje also commended the Govornor and urged him to continue in his same good ways.
President of the Senate ,Godswill Akpabio further urged him to carry out the good works even in Edo state.
Governor Okpebholo in his Valedictory Speech expressed his pleasure over their kind words and promised to be a good Ambassador of the senate as Governor . And thanked all those who stood by him during the campaign exercise.
