The newly inaugurated Governing Council of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, led by High Chief Dan Osi Orbih, has hit the ground running, embarking on a familiarization tour of the university and its host community less than 24 hours after their inauguration ยน.
During a courtesy visit to the Palace of the Onojie of Ekpoma, Chief Orbih informed the monarch that the Edo State governor has entrusted them with leveraging their collective expertise to enhance the university’s administration. He acknowledged the significant challenges facing the institution and sought the monarch’s prayers, support, and that of the host community.
The Onojie of Ekpoma, HRH Bar. Anthony Abumere II, thanked the chairman and council members for visiting the palace, praying for a successful tenure and assuring them of the palace’s unwavering support.
At meetings with various stakeholders, including the leadership of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), CONUA, JAC, SANNU, NASU, and the SUG, Chief Orbih emphasized the council’s commitment to partnering with them to achieve the desired goals of making the university better and greater. He acknowledged the challenges facing the institution and urged patience, promising to work in the interest of all.
The council’s swift action demonstrates their determination to make a positive impact on the university and its community.
