The Rivers State Government has disclosed that it is yet to receive a letter from the Rivers State House of Assembly requesting Governor Siminalayi Fubara to re-present the 2025 budget.
In a letter dated March 5, 2025, addressed to the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Secretary to the State Government Dr. Tammy Wenike Danagogo stated that despite a social media post, the government had not received the letter as of March 4, 2025.
The Rivers State House of Assembly had given Governor Fubara a 48-hour ultimatum to re-present the 2025 budget, which expires on March 5, 2025, at 2 pm.
Dr. Danagogo reassured that the governor would implement the Supreme Court’s decisions and re-present the budget once the certified true copy of the judgments is received.
