Edo State Government’s Anti-Kidnapping Task Force has intensified its crackdown on kidnappers, demolishing more houses linked to these criminals. The latest casualty is Oboh Odianosen, a middle-aged man from Uromi town, who lost his inherited property after confessing to kidnapping activities in Edo Central Senatorial Districts.
Odianosen revealed that he received N800,000 as his share from a recent kidnapping operation, where they demanded and received N5 million in ransom. He was arrested after his accomplice, Epama, confessed to the crime, implicating Odianosen
The demolition of Odianosen’s property was supervised by Special Adviser to Governor Monday Okpebholo on Security Affairs, Mr. Akhere Paul. This marks the fourth property of kidnap suspects to be demolished. Commander of the Task Force, SP Michael Anetor, noted that Odianosen had confessed to the crime and was part of a five-man gang. Anetor advised potential criminals that the Governor and the Task Force are committed to working tirelessly to stop kidnapping in Edo State
