Nigerian Bar Association, Uromi Branch Condemns Gruesome Killing Of Travelling Citizens

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Uromi branch, has strongly condemned the brutal killing of some travelling citizens, allegedly hunters from the Northern region. The association extends its deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and urges law enforcement agencies to conduct a thorough investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice.

In a statement jointly signed by the chairman, J. A. Onoimoimilin, Esq and secretary, C. Ayemere, Esq, the NBA, Uromi branch, emphasizes the importance of a proper investigation to ensure that those responsible for the heinous crime are held accountable. Additionally, the association cautions law enforcement agencies to exercise restraint in arresting individuals who may be innocent, to prevent further injustice.

The statement also highlights the ongoing issue of daily kidnappings in Edo Central, which may have contributed to the mob action in Uromi. The NBA, Uromi branch, calls for a more comprehensive approach to address this issue, to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.

As the investigation into the killings continues, the NBA, Uromi branch, remains committed to advocating for justice and promoting the rule of law in Nigeria.
