Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved a major reshuffle of key education boards, effective immediately. The move aims to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery in the state’s education sector.
The statement signed by Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq., Secretary to the State Government, sees new leadership take the helm at the Board for Technical and Vocational Education (BTVE), the State Secondary Education Board (SSEB), and the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).

The new leadership lineup includes:
Dr. Maureen Osaro Ekhoragbon, formerly Chairman of the Board for Technical and Vocational Education (BTVE), now heads the State Secondary Education Board (SSEB), Barr. Onomen Goodness Briggs, previously Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), takes over as Chairman of BTVE, Omonzane Ebanehita Sonia, former SSEB Chairman, is now Acting Chairman of SUBEB, pending confirmation by the State House of Assembly.
The government expects these changes to improve service delivery across the state’s education landscape. Stakeholders will be watching closely to see the impact of these new appointments.
