In a significant display of inter-state cooperation and goodwill, Senator Monday Okpebholo, the Executive Governor of Edo State, traveled to Sokoto State, the Seat of the Caliphate, to commission key infrastructure projects on Wednesday, July 2, 2025. The event marked a notable moment in the strengthening of ties between the two states and underscored Governor Okpebholo’s commitment to fostering partnerships across Nigeria.
The projects commissioned by Governor Okpebholo included the Tamaje Water Scheme and the Mabera Township Roads. These projects were part of the activities marking the second-year anniversary of the administration of His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto State. Governor Okpebholo expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to participate in the commissioning, highlighting it as a testament to the growing partnerships his administration is building across the country.
