The Edo State House of Assembly Service Commission has held its 3rd monthly session, under the leadership of Hon. (Sir) Ezehi MD Igbas. The meeting marked a significant milestone in the Commission’s efforts to enhance staff welfare and promote organizational efficiency.
A major highlight of the session was the approval of promotions for 145 staff members. The Commission has directed that letters be issued to the affected staff by the first week of August, bringing joy and recognition to deserving employees who have worked tirelessly to contribute to the Commission’s success.
The Commission also granted a one-month extension to the restructuring committee, tasked with reviewing and improving the organization’s operations. This move underscores the Commission’s commitment to enhancing its efficiency and effectiveness in serving the people of Edo State.
During the session, a supplementary budget proposal was introduced, aimed at addressing emerging needs and priorities. The Commission also resolved several staff welfare cases, including the reinstatement of salaries and approval of academic credentials. These decisions demonstrate the Commission’s dedication to supporting the well-being and career development of its employees.
The meeting was also attended by a delegation from the National Assembly Service Commission, who praised the Edo State House of Assembly Service Commission for its reforms and initiatives. This recognition highlights the Commission’s commitment to best practices and its role as a leader in public service.
The Commission has adjourned to August 21, 2025, with a renewed focus on delivering quality services to the people of Edo State. As the Commission continues to implement its reforms and initiatives, it remains committed to promoting the welfare and career development of its staff, while enhancing its efficiency and effectiveness in serving the public.
