The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State has denied claims that its state chairman, Emperor Jarret Tenebe, has ceded automatic tickets to certain individuals for the 2026 Local Government Council elections.
According to Tenebe, the party will conduct primaries to select its candidates for the elections, as stipulated by the party’s constitution. He emphasized that the State Working Committee will screen aspirants and conduct primaries in line with the Electoral Guidelines.
Tenebe also clarified that the party will reward members who have demonstrated loyalty and dedication to the party, but this does not mean that tickets will be automatically ceded to anyone.
The APC state chairman urged members to disregard false claims and speculations, and to await the party’s official announcements on the primaries and elections.
