The Executive Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Hon. Amadin Desmond Enabulele, has expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) for their exceptional coverage of the 2025 National Youth Games in Asaba. Speaking at SWAN’s National Convention on September 4, 2025, Enabulele praised the sports journalists for their professionalism and dedication to sports development in the country.
Enabulele described sports writers as vital partners in progress, working alongside sports administrators to promote the growth of sports in Nigeria. He commended SWAN’s massive media coverage of the 9th National Youth Games and appreciated the support he has received from the association since taking office in Edo State.
During his address, Enabulele highlighted some of his notable achievements, including: Restructuring of Bendel Insurance FC and Edo Queens management and grassroots sports development policy, an initiative that is already showing positive results at the 9th National Youth Games in Asaba.
Enabulele called for continued support and cooperation between the Edo State Sports Commission and SWAN, assuring the association of his commitment to supporting their endeavors. SWAN President, Comrade Benjamin Isaiah, acknowledged the support received from the Edo State Sports Commission and pledged to maintain a strong partnership.
