The Special Adviser to Governor Monday Okpebholo on Education, Hon. Barr. Vincent Oseyangbonaye Akhere, has reaffirmed the governor’s commitment to transforming the education sector in Edo State through strategic reforms and partnerships. To achieve this, Hon. Akhere embarked on a one-day working visit to the Ministries of Education in Anambra and Delta States, where he engaged with key stakeholders to identify innovative approaches that could be adapted to enhance education delivery in Edo State.
While in Anambra, Hon. Akhere held discussions with Permanent Secretaries and Directors to study their systems and explore policies that could be replicated in Edo State
Similarly,the special adviser also met with the Honourable Commissioner for Secondary Education, Delta State, who provided insights into the management of secondary education in Delta State. The Commissioner also advised Hon. Akhere to engage with other Commissioners in charge of Primary, Technical and Vocational, and Higher Education to gain a comprehensive understanding of the state’s education system.
The Edo State Ministry of Education, under the leadership of Honourable Commissioner Dr. Paddy Emmanuel Iyamu, is committed to excellence and transparency in all academic and examination processes. With these reforms, Edo people can expect more progressive and impactful changes in the education sector under the Okpebholo-led administration.
Governor Okpebholo’s vision for education in Edo State is centered on raising educational standards at all levels. The Special Adviser’s visit to Anambra and Delta States is a testament to the administration’s commitment to exploring best practices and adapting them to meet the needs of Edo State’s education sector.
