Ossiomo Apologizes for Power Outage, Assures Customers of Quick Fix

Ossiomo Power Company in Benin City has apologized to its customers for the power outage experienced since Monday, September 1, 2025. The outage, caused by a major technical fault in their generation facility, has significantly impacted business activities in major government and private offices along Sapele Road, Airport Road, Government Reservation Area, and surrounding areas in the Edo State capital.

The company’s Deputy General Manager, Engr. Francis Ekwe, explained that the necessary equipment for repairs has been procured and installation is underway. “Our team of engineers is already on site to ensure quick installation,” he assured.

He highlighted a major technical issue within the generation facility and assured that repairs underway, equipment installation in progress as power restoration will be as soon as possible, with improved performance in power generation, transmission, and distribution

The management of Ossiomo Power Company humbly appeals to customers to bear with them during this period, promising that the new equipment will enhance overall power supply efficiency. With Ossiomo Power providing electricity to government establishments, businesses, homes, and communities in the Benin City metropolitan area, the company aims to restore power and maintain its usual high standards.
