In its drive to sustain excellence in education, the Edo State Government has taken another bold step toward innovation and accountability. The Directorate of Education Quality and Accountability (DEQA) is partnering with the Information Communication Technology Agency (ICTA) to integrate cutting-edge technological solutions into the state’s education quality assurance framework.

This strategic collaboration underscores the government’s commitment to transforming teaching and learning outcomes through modern tools that ensure transparency, efficiency, and real-time data monitoring. By digitizing inspection and reporting processes, DEQA aims to strengthen accountability in schools, provide accurate performance insights, and ensure that policies translate into measurable impact at the grassroots level.

Speaking on the development, the Director-General of DEQA, Dr. Amen Ogbemudia, noted that the partnership with ICTA is a clear demonstration of Edo State’s vision to place education at the forefront of sustainable development. “We are leveraging technology not just as a tool, but as a game-changer in driving continuous improvement and ensuring no child is left behind,” she stated.

The initiative comes on the heels of Edo State’s record of educational reforms and innovations, further positioning the state as a trailblazer in deploying technology for governance and service delivery. With ICTA’s technical expertise and DEQA’s mandate for accountability, the partnership is set to redefine how schools are assessed, monitored, and supported.

Indeed, stronger together, DEQA and ICTA are reshaping the narrative of education in Edo State—building a future where quality is not just assured, but consistently delivered.
