The Edo State House of Assembly Service Commission (EDHASC) has dismissed a petition filed against the Clerk of the House, Alhaji Audu Yahaya Omogbai, describing it as lacking in merit.
In a letter dated October 22 and signed by the Commission’s Chairman, Hon. (Sir) Magnus Igbas Ezehi, the Commission stated that the petitioners failed to substantiate their claims or appear before the panel to defend their allegations.

According to the letter, the Commission noted that the petitioners remained faceless throughout the process, despite being given ample opportunity to present evidence or witnesses in support of their petition.
“In the absence of credible evidence and the refusal of the petitioners to appear before the Commission, the petition is hereby dismissed for lack of merit,” the statement read in part.
With this decision, the Edo State House of Assembly Service Commission reaffirmed its commitment to fairness, due process, and administrative justice in the discharge of its duties.
