DEQA Begins 2026 with Purpose, Prayer, and Strategic Direction

Activities at the Directorate of Education Quality Assurance (DEQA) officially commenced for the year at the Headquarters with a spiritually uplifting and purpose-driven gathering that set the tone for the months ahead.
The new work year opened with a powerful session of praise and worship, as management and staff collectively committed the Directorate’s journey into the new year to God, seeking divine guidance for a peaceful, productive, and impactful year.

Leading the spiritual exercise, the Director General of DEQA, Dr. Amen Ogbemudia Uhunmwangho, read from Psalms 9, 10, and 12, drawing attention to God’s faithfulness, justice, and unfailing support for those who trust in Him. The scriptures served as a reminder of the importance of faith, integrity, and dedication in the discharge of official responsibilities.

In her address, the Director General expressed deep appreciation to all staff for their commitment and resilience, while urging everyone to approach the new year with renewed zeal, unity, and a strong sense of purpose. She encouraged every member of staff to contribute positively to the growth and effectiveness of the Directorate, emphasizing teamwork, professionalism, and excellence in service delivery.

The session also featured votive prayers, with special supplications offered for the success of DEQA’s mandate, the well-being of staff, and the achievement of institutional goals throughout the year.

Immediately after the prayer session, activities transitioned into action as the Director General led the management team through the second phase of her workplan, outlining strategic priorities and providing a clear roadmap for implementation in the coming months.

With prayers offered, plans set, and spirits lifted, DEQA begins the year energized, focused, and fully prepared to deliver on its mandate.
