The Chief Medical Director of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), Prof. Idia Ize-Iyamu, on Wednesday led a delegation of the hospital’s management staff on a condolence visit to the Edo State Deputy Governor, Dennis Idahosa, following the passing of his mother, Madam Esther Imaguomwanruo Idahosa.

During the visit to the Idahosa residence in Benin City, Prof. Ize-Iyamu offered prayers for the bereaved family, asking God to grant them the strength to bear the irreplaceable loss. She described the late matriarch as a devout Christian and a pillar of strength within her family.

In his response, the Deputy Governor, Mr. Dennis Idahosa, expressed deep appreciation to the CMD and the entire UBTH team for the quality care provided to his mother during her stay at the hospital.

“I sincerely appreciate the care my mother received before her passing. I am truly pleased and believe she was given the best possible attention. I thank the leadership and staff of UBTH for their dedication and the proactive response of your healthcare professionals throughout her time in your facility,” he said.
