Edo Sports Commission Boss Pledges Support For Grassroots Sports Development

The Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Hon. Amadin Desmond Enabulele, has reaffirmed his commitment to developing grassroots sports in the state. Speaking at a press conference at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin, Enabulele emphasized the importance of identifying and nurturing young talents.

Enabulele expressed his support for the Bright Osayi Samuel Under 13 Football Tournament, stating that it aligns with the state governor’s initiative to scout for young talents. He praised the tournament’s sponsor, Bright Osayi Samuel, and organizers for their efforts in promoting football development.

The Edo State Football Association (EFA) Chairman, Fred Newton Erhunmwunsee, announced that the second edition of the tournament will commence on May 12th. The tournament promises to be exciting, with attractive prizes, including: N1 million for the winner, N750,000 for the runner-up and N500,000 for the second runner-up

The representative of the sponsor’s family, Michael Osaro, revealed that Bright Osayi Samuel plans to establish a football academy in Edo State if the government supports him in acquiring land.
