Edo 2024: PDP Legacy Group Seeks The Face Of God To Avoid Repeated Mistake
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Legacy Group in Edo State, have said they still have a little patience for governor Godwin Obaseki to dialogue and compromise with them before they finally take their stand ahead of the Edo September 21, gubernatorial election.
Hon Omoregie Ogbeide-Ihama, the immediate past House of Representatives member, representing Oredo Federal Constituency, who spoke on behalf of the Legacy members of PDP decried the high level of marginalization by the state governor, he added that they helped him to retain power when the All Progressives Congress (APC) refused him the ticket for second tenure.
Leading a prayer session, Hon Ogbeide-Ihama, prayed that God should direct them in any decisions they shall take ahead of the governorship election because they don’t want to make a similar mistake by supporting Godwin Obaseki as they did in the build up of 2020 governorship election in the state.
The former lawmaker further said he regretted giving his governorship ticket to Obaseki claiming that the governor used him and other members and later dumped them after winning the election.
The get together meeting was organized at the instance of the PDP Legacy Group in Edo South Senatorial District, to x-ray how much they have fared during the four years under the current government
The leaders in the seven local government areas had the opportunity to express their minds about the current governor and they all complained of outright marginalization.
