A statement released by Rt. Hon. Samson R. Osagie, PhD, has vehemently denied allegations of financial infractions leveled against him. The allegations, which were made in a government special announcement dated February 5, 2025, claimed that Osagie was involved in financial dealings with the Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission.
Osagie’s statement described the allegations as baseless and unfounded, stating that he was never confronted with the allegations before his suspension was announced. He emphasized his commitment to defending himself and proving his innocence to clear his name and hard-earned reputation.
The statement read in part: “I am not and was never involved in any financial dealing with anyone nor committed any financial infraction of any kind… I shall be ready, willing, and prepared to defend myself and prove my innocence.”
Osagie’s response has sparked interest in the ongoing developments, with many eagerly awaiting the outcome of the investigations.
