Uromi NBA Holds Annual Dinner, Honours Chief Judge, Deputy Speaker, Others

The Uromi branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has honoured the Chief Judge of Edo State, Honourable Justice Daniel Okungbowa with an award for his exceptional dedication to duties, siting a Multi-Door Court in Uromi and for being the first judge to seat in the Uromi High Court.

The award of honour was confered on Hon. Justice Okungbowa and others on the occasion of the 2024 annual dinner and award night of the Uromi NBA.
The occasion was used for the launching of the Uromi Bar House.

Also honoured are the Deputy Speaker of Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Maria Oligbi-Edeko (Esq), for her outstanding professionalism and defender of gender equality; the outgoing judges of Uromi High Court, Hon. Justice Ohimai Ovbiagele for his exemplary dedication to duty and hard work, and his counterpart of the Criminal Division of Ubiaja High Court, Hon. Justice E. I. Bazuaye.

The Uromi NBA also honoured the chairman of Esan North -East Local Government Council, Hon. Dr. Kelly Inedegbor for his excellent performance since assumption of office.

Welcoming the Chief Judge and members of his entourage, the NBA Uromi branch Chairman, J. A. Onoimoimilin (Esq), thanked Hon. Justice Okungbowa for gracing the occasion with his presence and receiving the award personally, adding that he deserves the award.

The Chief Judge of Edo State was accompanied by Hon. Justice E. O. Ahamioje, Hon. Justice V. O. A. Oviawe and Hon. Justice A. T. Momodu

The award ceremony was anchored by the secretary of the branch Barr Christian Ayemere and the chairman planning committee, Sir L. Ogedegbe Esq. Notable among personalities that graced the occasion were the former speaker Edo State House of Assembly and two time member federal house of representatives, representing Esan North East and Esan South East federal constituency, Rt. Hon Friday Itulah Esq, Bishop Anthony Okosun, Prof. G. R. A Okogun and a host of others.
