Endbadgovernance Protest: My Stand Point

By Dr. Amen Ogbemudia

As we cry out loud in protest let also remember that those of us who has been on the street since yesterday and everyone else are all protesters, but we need to understand that survival is paramount while we continue to protest.

There are people who depends on daily businesses to feed their families especially the women who struggle so had to ensure her children had food on their table.

My stand point is that as we continue to protest allow people go about their businesses without any intimidation, while we wait for federal government’s response to our cry.

“Remember children are on holiday, they don’t know if there is any protest when they are hungry, you must provide food for them”.

Women who are in labour for child bearing, needs transportation to the hospital and as well as medical attention to ensure safe delivery.

Also remember that a lot of people had planned marriages, burial and other ceremonies. They had used their hard earned money to prepare, let’s them have opportunity to celebrate what they have been looking forward to.

I appeal to you who are in street for the protest let’s be mindful of these facts that everything we do has a effect on others.
Let’s be conscious of so many other problems that will arise as you lock down for the sake of protest.

My passionate appeal also goes to the federal government to address the issue of fuel which is the main bane of all issues, our State governors must also live up to their responsibility by allowing palliatives from federal government meant to cushion the effects of subsidy removal get to the grassroot without sentiments or any political undertone.

God save Nigeria and help our leaders to understand what they need to do to make Nigeria a peaceful country.
