It is getting clearer by the day how the PDP and Asue Ighodalo are behaving like eunuchs desperate for marriage who do not have the wherewithal to tether children. As loud they are about their desires, they are but biologically incapable of sealing the deal – people who wanted victory, yet lacked the political potency to secure it. Now, after failing to prove their case at the tribunal, they are crying that nobody came to their rescue. But who owes a eunuch a child, if I may ask?
They rushed to the elections petition tribunal, armed with “noise” but no evidence, hoping that drama would substitute for facts. When it became clear their petition had no legs to stand on, they turned to INEC, APC, and Governor Monday Okpebholo – the very people they accused, to build their case for them. A poor and hopeless strategy, like a student who is an exam cheat begging the invigilator for answers.
But when no one played along – when witnesses didn’t appear to validate their hollow claims – the wailing began. The PDP now behaves like a gambler who lost a bet and is blaming the casino. But the tribunal is not a place for charity – it deals in proof, not pity. If you claim you were robbed, bring the evidence, not emotions.
Thank you, INEC. Thank you, Governor Monday Okpebholo. Thank you, APC, for refusing to breathe life into PDP and Ighodalo’s “lifeless” petition. Thank you for letting it remain exactly as it is – dead on arrival.
