Glo Enhances “Borrow Me Credit” Service to Boost Customer Satisfaction

National telecommunications operator, Globacom, has enhanced its “Borrow Me Credit” service in a strategic move aimed at ensuring that customers remain connected even when they have low or zero airtime balances.

In a statement issued in Lagos, the company disclosed that the eligibility requirements for the service have been simplified, enabling millions of active prepaid subscribers across the country to access airtime and data advances with greater ease. While a service charge applies, Globacom emphasized that the primary objective of the initiative is to provide immediate support whenever customers run low on airtime or data.

The upgraded “Borrow Me Credit” service now includes “Borrow Special Data” as well as “Borrow Airtime/Data for Others.” This feature allows subscribers to assist friends and family members who may be unable to recharge immediately, further strengthening connectivity and fostering a sense of community among Glo users.

According to Globacom, “Whether it is an urgent business call, a late-night research project, or staying in touch with loved ones during an emergency, Glo’s ‘Borrow Me Credit’ ensures that a low balance never results in a communication blackout.”

The service caters to a wide range of customer needs, offering airtime and data denominations from as low as ₦25 up to ₦4,000, thereby providing flexible options for varying usage requirements.

Globacom also noted that the service is structured to reward customer loyalty and network engagement. Subscribers with stronger usage profiles and consistent activity on the network are eligible for higher borrowing limits.

By maintaining regular usage, prepaid customers can unlock different tiers of airtime and data credit, ranging from basic emergency support to substantial data allocations. The company explained that this framework ensures the sustainability of the service while enabling frequent users to enjoy borrowing limits that align with their digital lifestyle.

Globacom encouraged all eligible prepaid subscribers to take advantage of the enhanced “Borrow Me Credit” service by dialing *303# and selecting from the available airtime or data options.
