One Year of Excellence: DEQA DG, Dr. Amen Ogbemudia, Earns Commendation from Media Aide

Special Adviser on Media to the Director-General of the Directorate of Education Quality and Accountability (DEQA), Edo State, Comrade Rosemary Okoduwa, has congratulated her principal, Dr. Amen Ogbemudia, on the successful completion of one year in office as Director-General of the agency.

In a heartfelt goodwill message marking the milestone, Comrade Okoduwa described Dr. Ogbemudia’s first year in office as one characterized by visionary leadership, dedication to duty, and an unwavering commitment to improving educational standards and accountability across Edo State.

According to her, Dr. Ogbemudia has, within a short period, demonstrated exceptional competence and administrative capacity, leading reforms and initiatives that have continued to strengthen the quality of education in the state.

She noted that the Director-General’s passion for service, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence have earned her the admiration of stakeholders within and outside the education sector.

Comrade Okoduwa also expressed profound appreciation to the Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, for appointing Dr. Ogbemudia to lead the Directorate, stating that her performance over the last one year has justified the confidence reposed in her by the state government. “The achievements recorded by the Directorate under her leadership are clear evidence that the Governor’s decision to entrust her with such a critical responsibility was well deserved,” she said.

Reflecting on her personal experience working closely with the Director-General, the media aide described Dr. Ogbemudia as a dependable mentor, supportive leader, and inspiring role model whose guidance has contributed significantly to her professional and personal development.

She thanked the DEQA boss for the opportunity to serve as Special Adviser on Media, noting that the trust, encouragement, and mentorship she has received over the past year have been invaluable. She praised Dr. Ogbemudia for fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and professionalism within the Directorate, qualities she said have enhanced productivity and strengthened the institution’s capacity to deliver on its mandate.

She prayed for God’s continued guidance, wisdom, strength, and good health for the Director-General as she continues to steer the affairs of the Directorate, expressing optimism that the coming years would bring even greater achievements and lasting impact.
