The Edo State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Eugenia Abdallah, has congratulated Ms. Priscilla Ikogheneone Usiobaifo on her installation as the Iyin-Jamata of Uneme-Ekpedo (Mother of Elite Women).
In a congratulatory message, the commissioner described the honour as a well deserved recognition of Usiobaifo’s unwavering commitment to humanitarian service, women and youth empowerment, and community development.
The traditional title was conferred by His Royal Highness, Obabori, the Onose of Uneme-Ekpedo, during the celebration of Ekpedo Day 2026 and the monarch’s 30th Coronation Anniversary.
Hon. Abdallah commended Usiobaifo’s outstanding contributions to advancing the welfare of women, girls and vulnerable children. She noted that as the Founder and Executive Director of the BraveHeart Initiative for Youth & Women, Usiobaifo has devoted several years to championing advocacy against sexual and gender-based violence, promoting child rights protection, and empowering women and young people through various community based initiatives.
According to the commissioner, Usiobaifo’s remarkable contributions to the development of Akoko-Edo Local Government Area and beyond have earned her admiration and recognition at both national and international levels.
She further stated that the installation reflects the confidence and trust the people of Uneme-Ekpedo have in Usiobaifo’s leadership, compassion and unwavering dedication to selfless service.
“Your installation is a testament to the confidence your community reposes in your leadership, compassion and unwavering dedication to service. You remain an inspiration to women and young girls across Edo State, proving that selfless service and excellence never go unnoticed,” the commissioner stated.
Hon. Abdallah also congratulated His Royal Highness, Obabori, the Onose of Uneme-Ekpedo, the Traditional Council and the people of Uneme-Ekpedo on the successful celebration, praying that God grants the new Iyin-Jamata wisdom, strength and grace to discharge the responsibilities of her office.
She wished Ms. Priscilla Ikogheneone Usiobaifo a successful and impactful reign, expressing confidence that she would continue to champion causes that uplift women, children and vulnerable members of society.
