Edo2024: APC Takes Campaign To Edo South Senatorial District, Solicits Support For Okpebholo

The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State on Thursday urged the people of the state, particularly
Edo South Senatorial District to vote the APC, saying the other two Senatorial Districts have agreed to give their support to the party.
Director General of the All Progressive Congress(APC) Campaign Council , Matthew Urhoghide assured the people that, if elected into power, the party and its governorship candidate, Monday Okpebholo will not give them any reason to regret their decision.
Speaking during a ward to ward campaign in Egor Local Government Council Area, Urhoghide urged the people in the state to vote the party saying all the political leaders from across the three Senatorial Districts have given their support to the APC candidate, Okpebholo.
A former deputy governor of Edo State, Pius Odubu, said the PDP led government has failed the people describing it as a wicked government that should be rejected in the 21st September governorship election.
Odubu accused the Obaseki-led government of not inaugurating the 14 lawmakers elected in 2019, including the member elect for Egor LGA, Crosby Eribo.
On his part, a governorship candidate of the APC in the 2020 election, Ize-Iyamu, said the Governor Godwin Obaseki must not be allowed to bring a successor .
Ize-Iyamu alleged that nothing has been done in the past eight years of the Obaseki-led government, saying that Okpebholo is the way to go.
” If people that have not done anything say we should give them a chance. We will never support them.”Ize-Iyamu said.
Also speaking, Edo Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu said Obaseki and his godson, PDP gubernatorial candidate, Asue Ighodalo, should be rejected just as
Prince Eweka urged Egor people to vote for the APC, saying the ancestors have ordained the APC candidate as the next governor of Edo State.
A former governor of Edo State and
Senator representing Edo North Senatorial District, Adams Oshiomhole said converting of old and young market women to prisoners by the Obaseki-led PDP government will be over after the APC wins the September 21st governorship election.
” I need you to go home and tell the other people who have gone to church and market to on September 21st go and vote the APC because we are dealing with a very wicked governor and his assistant. ” Oshiomhole said.
