Edo State APC Chairman, Jarret Tenebe, has alerted security agencies about a planned protest by PDP supporters in Abuja, allegedly aimed at influencing the tribunal’s decision on the Edo governorship election petition.

The protest is reportedly scheduled for Tuesday, and Tenebe has urged security agencies, including the Police, Department of State Services (DSS), and Nigerian Army, to remain vigilant and prevent any disruption of proceedings at the tribunal.

However, the PDP has defended the planned protest, describing it as a peaceful rally aimed at ensuring electoral integrity in Edo State ¹. Deputy National Youth Leader of the PDP, Timothy Osadolor, dismissed the APC’s claims as “propaganda” and a deliberate attempt to mislead the public.

The development comes hours after the tribunal reserved judgment on the petition filed by the PDP and its governorship candidate, Asue Ighodalo, challenging the outcome of the September 21, 2024 governorship election in Edo State
