The University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, on Monday, 3rd August 2026, conducted a free medical outreach for staff of Independent Television (ITV) and Radio.

Representing the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Idia Ize-Iyamu, the Deputy Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee (Clinicals), Dr. Philip Osho, said the outreach reflects UBTH’s commitment to improving health outcomes through strategic partnerships, preventive healthcare, and early disease detection.

The Managing Director of ITV, Engr. Elvis Obaseki, thanked the Chief Medical Director and the UBTH team for bringing essential healthcare services directly to the media organisation.

The outreach featured free blood pressure and blood sugar checks, hepatitis B screening, clinical consultations, and personalised wellness counselling.

Staff of ITV and Radio described the initiative as timely and impactful, while both organisations pledged to sustain the partnership through similar programmes aimed at promoting a healthier and more productive workforce.
