The Institute of Health Service Administrators of Nigeria (IHSAN), University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) Chapter, has honoured the Chief Medical Director of UBTH, Prof. Idia Ize-Iyamu, with an Award of Recognition for her developmental strides and contributions to the growth of the hospital.
The award was presented when the newly elected Executive Council of IHSAN, UBTH Chapter, paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Medical Director.
Receiving the IHSAN delegation, Prof. Ize-Iyamu expressed appreciation to the institute’s Executive Council for the recognition and gesture of support.
She reaffirmed the commitment of the hospital management to sustaining the gains recorded under the UBTH CARES Agenda, particularly in the areas of staff welfare, capacity building and continuous improvement in healthcare service delivery.
In his remarks, the Chairman of IHSAN, UBTH Chapter, Uwaila Ilesammi Joshua, Esq., congratulated Prof. Ize-Iyamu on the recognition and commended the management for its efforts towards improving staff welfare and professional development.
He stressed the importance of sustaining the initiatives while exploring additional opportunities to strengthen employee well-being and workplace support.
The newly elected IHSAN UBTH Chapter Executive Council members formally presented to the CMD include Uwaila Ilesammi Joshua, Esq., Chairman, Aibuedefe Amadin Patrick, Vice Chairman, Arebojie Francis, Secretary, Iyore Clement, Treasurer, Ojigho Victor, Provost, Emma-Igiebor Gloria, Director of Welfare, Ehigiegba Edward, Financial Secretary, Uwheru Benedict, Public Relations Officer, Abeke Bridget, Assistant Secretary, Mordi Esther, Co-opted EXCO Member and Ogbomwan Garvey, Co-opted EXCO Member.
