Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has applauded the resilience, dedication and sacrifices of healthcare workers across the state, describing them as indispensable partners in his administration’s determination to build a healthier and more prosperous Edo State.
The governor gave the commendation during the seventh anniversary celebration of the Edo Specialist Hospital (ESH), where he congratulated the hospital’s management, staff and development partners for their professionalism, commitment and outstanding contributions to healthcare delivery over the past seven years.
Represented by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Yakubu Oshiorenua Musa, Governor Okpebholo reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to strengthening the health sector through sustained support for institutions that continue to provide quality, accessible and affordable healthcare services to residents.
He noted that Edo Specialist Hospital has distinguished itself through excellence in patient care, innovation and professionalism, describing its achievements since its establishment as a testament to visionary leadership and an unwavering commitment to putting patients first.
According to the governor, the successes recorded by the hospital over the past seven years demonstrate what can be achieved through dedication, strategic leadership and a strong focus on quality healthcare delivery.
He assured that his administration would continue to invest in the health sector to improve healthcare outcomes and expand access to specialist medical services across the state.
In her remarks, the Chief Medical Director of Edo Specialist Hospital, Dr. Mrs. Anthonia Inibokun Njoku, expressed appreciation to the Edo State Government, members of staff, patients and development partners for their invaluable support throughout the hospital’s seven-year journey.
She stated that the hospital has continued to expand its range of specialist services while maintaining high standards of clinical excellence, compassion, innovation and integrity.
Dr. Njoku assured the public that the hospital’s management remains committed to delivering world-class healthcare services and sustaining the quality standards that have earned the institution its growing reputation.
The anniversary celebration featured goodwill messages and reflections on the hospital’s remarkable achievements since its establishment in 2019, with stakeholders commending its significant contributions to improving healthcare delivery across Edo State.
The event attracted healthcare professionals, government officials, development partners and other invited guests, who celebrated the hospital’s seven-year milestone and renewed their collective commitment to advancing specialist healthcare services for the benefit of Edo people and beyond.
